- Virgin (7.0) and Sky (7.2) continue to feature at the top end of the Satellite Cable TV sector for Employer Attractiveness. Sky continues to have a reputation for commercial focus and delivery, whilst Virgin is a net beneficiary of a softer image combined with a wide (technological) spread of services and opportunities. How that will change with Liberty Media's $23.3bn acquisition of Virgin remains to be seen.
- So we welcome BT (7.0) to the Quadplay category, with Ian Livingston having quietly sharpened the performance of BT's broadband, retail and global services divisions - with the company's Employer Brand reputation progressively rising with its customer service reputation. The announcement of entry into Sports rights (April 13) came outside of the tracking period.
- The BBC (6.7), ITV (6.3) and Channel 4 (6.5) remain clustered in a relatively narrow band.
- Channel 5 (5.7) continues to bring up the rear in the sector.
